£100 rebuy Luton last night

Well I am continuing my live success (shame about online, but at least I am starting to hit the money now).

Only got 45 runners last night, probably due to Barcelona.

Made final table, down to last 6 and have 24K. Chip leader to my right with 48K, one short stack on 7.5k and the rest on around 20K.

I am BB (2k). Folded to small blind (c/l) who makes it 5k to play.
I look down and see AK.
I could flat call, then push all in regardless of the flop, but decide to push all in preflop.
SB calls VERY quickly - Bad news I think he must have a BIG pair, but to my delight he turns over A 10 o/s.
Flop rags, turn rag, river 10 - OUCH!!
Pot was for c/l and should of secured me a nice top 3 (at least) finish.
But out 6th for £360

I would make the same play again, win that hand I feel I had a GREAT chance to go on and win the tourney.

But like I siad, another F/T live play.

Things are all good :)

WCOOP $1,000,000 event

Decided to play the $54 f/o MTT qualifier today.

Got nocked out quite early, so decided to play a couple of STT's for the event.
Well I only played one and won it!

Come 9.30pm and I am ready to play online with a 30 min clock. My only gripe is that I think 5000 would of been a better starting stack than the 2500 we did start with.
Around 1800 runners.

Not going to say much only that I crashed out 497th with QQ vs AK

QQ vs AK not lucky for me this weekend - but next time they will be! (Hopefully lol)

£1000 f/o Broadway Birmingham

Well what can I say.

The Broadway (I know it has only been open 6 months), but what a casino!!!

The staff very friendly, complementry breakfast and free bar for the players. Also free parking.

They gave away lots of goodies in the tournamnets as well, including glass vases and a gold bracelet to the winners - VERY NICE TOUCH

And to top it all of, ALL comps were JUICE FREE!!!!

I played the £1000 main event which due to poor advertising/bad timing they only had 40 odd runners. So with 10,000 starting chips and an hour clock there was PLENTY of play.

Nothing much happened for me, stole a few blinds, nicked a few pots - No cards.
Managed to survive and got up to 14k at 3am ish with 20 left.
Blinds were 300 600 and I was SB.
One guy in mid position had around 23K and raised it to 2900 to play. All folded to me and I look down and have QQ. I thought about a flat call and then I can get away if an ace or king hits the flop, but decided to push all in. Mainly as the prize money started at 5th.
BB folds
The origional raiser said "OK lets go" - He turned over AK which improved into a full house.
That was the end of me.

I dont regret the move, and would do it again it those situations.
